Review of RS Venice, Florence and Rome Tour

Just a quick note about our wonderful, life-changing experience with the RS "Venice/Florence/Rome tour last month (Oct. 10-21, 2025).

When our fabulous guide, Beatrice, told us we would all "become a family," I'll admit to being a bit dubious, since this was our first group tour ever. I've never been happier to be wrong. It was a wonderful, fun and fascinating nine days. The logistics were impeccable, the hotels were great, our guides - especially Beatrice - were extraordinary and our fellow travelers were the best group of folks we could ask for. The group activities (cooking class, wine tasting and more) brought us all together in a special, fun-loving way. Of course, the wonders of Italy had a lot to do with it as well!

On our last night together, I found myself choked up in leaving my travel "family." I came to love all of them. If you're at all hesitant about spending the money for an RS tour, just do it. I cannot overstate how amazing and unforgettable it all was!

What a wonderful review and I'm glad you had a fantastic time. From stem to stern, Rick Steves is a quality company. Every tour we've taken has been outstanding. Having travelled independently for decades, I was pleased and shocked how much better of a traveling experience I had when I was on one of their tours.

Happy travels.

So glad you had a nice tour!

This is how we felt on our first RSE tour - also Venice, Florence, Rome - in 2017. We've been on 7 more tours since then, with one more booked for this year.

I’m so glad you had the same experience so many of us have had. We took our first RS tour in 2013 and still correspond with dear people we bonded with who live across the country. Since then there has been someone we deeply connected with on almost every tour we’ve taken. Hopefully this is just the first of those experiences for you.

I'm both nodding and laughing at Pam's post. My husband and I took our first Rick Steves tour in 2009, certain that it would be "one and done," because we weren't really tour people. Nope, not us. Nope.

That was 21 tours ago..... Welcome to the group!
