I'm traveling to Scotland mid August through to September can anyone recommend festivals they may have attended.
Also is there any where in Scotland you can see the Northen Lights at that time of the year?

The Fringe

The Fringe is the largest arts festival in the world. It takes place in Edinburgh during August. Our local high school's drama club was privileged to be invited to perform
"Les Miserables."
Edinburgh Military Tattoo (Aug 7 - 29)

Performers from over 46 countries have taken part in the Tattoo, (Tattoo is a military performance of music or display of armed forces in general, but the practice has evolved into more elaborate shows involving theatrics and musical performances.) and around 30 per cent of the 220,000 audience each year are from overseas.
A military friend was impressed with the precision of the movements by the groups involved in the Tattoo he saw. I have seen neither festival.
