Recommendations for Travel Insurance

My 17 yr old son will be going in early June for a 24 day trip through Europe with other recent high school graduates. We want to look into travel ins. for the trip. Does anyone have any recommendations and ideas for what is the important to look for in getting travel insurance? Thanks, D. Ross

Here are some resources:

Our host's thoughts about travel insurance.

A good tool for learning more and shopping for a suitable plan.

This should get you started. Your son's age should keep down the price of medical coverage. Besides that, keep in mind that you're insuring only costs that wouldn't be refunded if the trip were changed or cancelled in whole or in part. So, for example, cancellable hotel reservations don't need to be insured.

EDIT -- By the way I just realized you've posted under "Trip Reports," which is where people tell each other about trips they've recently taken. If you want to get more responses, after doing some more research yourself, you'll probably want to post questions under "Destination Q&A: General Europe," or "Tips and Trip Reports: Covid-19 and Travel" if your concerns are Covid-specific.
