I'd like some information on the best way to travel from Nice to Eze. Is the bus the best way to go? If so, where does one board?
The bus is pretty much the only way to go to Eze-le-Village, the old hilltop part. It's route 82, which is a scenic journey along the Middle Corniche. There's heavy construction work in central Nice at present for the second tram line, meaning that bus stops are disrupted and subject to short-term change - I would check for stops when you get to Nice, or ask on the France board here if anyone has visited recently. You can get the train or bus 83 to Eze-sur-Mer on the coast, which is less interesting and has a very demanding uphill footpath to the old village, known as the "Nietzche path" after the philosopher, who used to walk it regularly to prove how macho he was.
I did the Nietzche path downhill and that was challenging enough for me!!
Thanks for the information. Sounds like the bus is the way to go. I'll enquire at our hotel regarding the location of the stop.
