I was trying to create an account at the Louvre in order to reserve an entry time. The form appears to be dysfunctional. There is a separate thread on the same topic but the solution did not work. I put in United States and a list of country code + area code pops up. I selected the correct one: 1206. But the form rejects it. How can the form reject the input from its own drop down menu??? I tried three times and it locked me out. Will probably not be able to go. What a waste.
did you use any parentheses or hyphens or spaces? Any of those will cause failure.
You need to run the number together
I just had a go and it worked for me, so it's not "dysfunctional". As Nigel asks, did you use any hyphens? They will be rejected in a form that asks for a phone number.
Any chance you're using a VPN?
Just tried it. Looks like the Louvre is trying to help US residents with a drop down prefill of +1 and area code. For you the prefill is +1206. Then on the next line you just type in the 7 remaining numbers of your phone number. Hope this helps.
Robert, how does using the VPN make a difference in this instance?
