Wondering if anyone can recommend someone who can provide private transportation for 10 people from Sedona to Antelope Canyon. I am looking for someone who will stop along the way so we can hike.. if there is good hike along the route! Thinking 2 days in Sedona and one or two nights in Page. Lodging suggestions (rentals or hotels) in Sedona or Page would helpful, too!
Visit antelope canyon from Page. Lots of tour companies in Page. You have the standard hotel chains in Page.
FYI, Sedona to Antelope Canyon is about 3 hrs drive. You will go through Page, AZ to get there.
Page AZ is 18 minutes to Antelope Canyon.
Not sure why you would want to take a private tour for 10 people from Sedona, drive through Page to get to Antelope Canyon and back through Page and then to Sedona in one day?
and then travel to Page and spend 2 days there?
Or are you going to get private transport to bring you to Page and drop you off there? Because a driver isn't going to stick around with you for two days. Also how will you get around Page to see the sights there?
Once in Page, you will need to get yourself to the tour headquarters. I didn't find any tour companies to Antelope Canyon that picked you up at your hotel.
My advice: Rent a van or maybe 2 vans.
While in Page, also visit Horseshoe Bend, Glen Canyon Dam, Lake Powell, and one evening attend the Red Heritage Dinner Show.
We also did a half day raft tour from Lee's Ferry.
So we spent two nights there.
BTW, the best hiking is in Sedona.
Hi and welcome to the forum -
First off, how are the 10 of you getting to Sedona in the first place?
And how will you be getting around the Page area without rental cars?
I guess more information would be helpful as it looks like a bigger issue than just getting the 10 of you to Page with a hiking stop in between. It's the driver having to spend 2 nights in Page (on your bill), possibly having to haul the 10 of you around to Antelope and other places too far to walk from town and then take all of you onwards to.....???? They would also have to have a vehicle large enough to handle a crew your size and be insured to do so. Yes, there are tours to the canyon from Page with transport from your hotel but what about the rest of time, and then how would you be leaving Page?
I've done Antelope and wouldn't personally spend 2 nights in Page just for a 60-90 minute tour. You might look at one-day trips to the canyon from Sedona offered by a number of outfits? It'll be a long day (approx 12 hours) but would take care of your transportation issue and most include a look at Horseshoe Bend, Glen Canyon Dam and/or some other extras.
Thank you for your responses! We are trying to decide all of the transportation details now.. looks like it may be more beneficial for us to rent a large van to get us from Phoenix to Sedona to Page and back.

I doubt you can rent a single vehicle big enough to haul 10 people and baggage. Anything that large likely requires a special license ( endorsement). Better to look at getting 2 vehicles.
When is this trip?
The trip is April or May 2025.
Derek, I saw a couple that do pickups IN Page. Not inexpensive tours by ANY means but, well, they do pickups. It still doesn't solve all of the transport issues tho. Honestly, i can't imagine trying to get around that part of the country without a rental vehicle. At a glance, I'm not seeing that special licenses are needed for passenger vans seating up to 15 (including the driver) but think that renting two smaller vehicles would be preferable. Yep, you have to have room for the stuff, too.
To add to my earlier comments, a single vehicle can carry 10 might be considered a 'specialty' vehicle and be excluded from coverage by your credit card company, if you were planning to use their coverage for the CDW. You should also check with your personal auto insurance carrier to see what limits might apply to that large a vehicle.
Having one large vehicle may require you to buy the rental car company liability and CDW/LDW coverage. Adding those coverages could add $50 per day to the cost.
For that reason a couple of 5-7 passenger vehicles may be the better option.
Be sure to check all the fine print.
Sitting in Phoenix right now and up to 113 is in the forecast this week ( record territory at 10 above average). I would be inclined to do the trip earlier rather than later in the Spring
Note that ANY hike you do near Sedona will have massive parking problems. All the classic hikes will be stuffed. Go early, as in dawn to maybe get a spot. Plus the whole town and it's roads are very full of traffic.
Super helpful information, appreciate it. Would the crowds at the hiking sites in Sedona be less during the week?
Several years ago my husband and I stayed in Sedona in late April We hiked Oak Creek Canyon. The first day we tried it was cold and drizzly (think sleet) so we went up to and beyond Flagstaff to some of the geological sites and Navajo ruins. (They had the snow plows out in Flagstaff). These were interesting but not really hikes.
We then hiked Oak Creek Canyon the next day with better weather. The creek was full and crossing was on downed logs. The water was cold. It was beautiful in the canyon. We did a few short hikes around Sedona also.
We had come from Grand Canyon where we had one day with weather in the 70’s and the next day threatened snow on our way to Sedona.
Regarding the Sedona area trailhead parking issues (yes, it's a very real challenge) you might look at the shuttle that services some of them?
Sedona hotel: we stayed at the Matterhorn some years back and see it's still getting excellent reviews on booking.com. Not sure what you budget is but take a look? Along with individual hotel rooms, they have a 3 and a 4-bedroom house (haven't stayed in either.).

We also stayed at the Matterhorn Inn. So I second that recommendation. Great location! But not cheap. Breakfast not included but there are breakfast places nearby. They have parking places for guests. We walked from there to several restaurants and to the Pink Jeep office to do a tour with them.
But it was nice having a car too, to visit places further away, like the Chapel of the Holy Cross and driving the Red Rock Byway and out to Montezuma Castle NM. WE ate a fancy dinner at Mariposa (reservations required). We were not impressed with Rene at Tlaquepaque.
