Private Tour Guide for DDay Beaches and surrounding area in Normandy

Because I spent a ton of time researching a great tour guide for Normandy, I thought I would share his information here to save others the trouble. Our tour guide was Chris from Visit Dday.com his email is chris@visitdday.com and he was nothing short of AMAZING! I researched extensively for a tour guide that could entertain my five children ages 11-19 while also giving me an interesting and educational tour. Chris exceeded every expectation I had and we ended up having the most unforgettable experience. He was prompt, friendly, informed, personable and knew the area like the back of his hand. He timed things appropriately so we beat the crowds and we were able to see so much in one day. He was so engaging with my children and literally brought the museum outside to us with video clips, quotes, stories and pictures of the actual sites we were visiting. He kept my children enthralled by engaging them one on one, asking them thought provoking questions and exposing them to the many different viewpoints of those affected by WWII. We learned, we explored, we laughed, we cried and left feeling richer for the experience we had. My only regret was that we didn't hire Chris for two days. Compared to all of the other tours, he was also the most reasonably priced. I could go on and on, but just trust me when I say you won't be disappointed. We spent four weeks in Europe this summer and this was the highlight!

Thank you so much for sharing. My 15 yo is a huge WWII buff, and this would be huge for him. We’ve been looking at this for our next trip and will keep this guide in mind.
