This is a brief preface to our Spain TR:
At the American Airlines Reno check-in(4:45AM) we had to show that we had hotel reservation in Spain. Don’t remember having to do this before. Due to an inoperable entertainment screen we were moved into Premium Economy on the half full Philadelphia to Madrid leg. We had a row of 3 to ourselves. At Madrid airport we got Targeta Dorada card and tickets to Toledo. Some trains to Toledo were sold out, not so when I checked the day before. Train to Toledo via Madrid and a taxi to the hotel were uneventful. Toledo was/is mobbed lots of tour groups trailing behind their flag waving leaders. Really really busy, pretty though. That’s it for now I’ll do a complete report when I get back.

Hey thanks for the update & how nice to get an upgrade!
