Prague and Czech Countryside

My wife and I had a great 10 day visit to the Czech Republic in July of this year (2013). Part of the reason it was great was that I prepared for the trip using Rick Steves' "Prague and the Czech Republic" guide, with special attention to page 51 which linked us up with Tom and Marie Zahn (www.pathfinders.cz, info@pathfinders.cz, U.S. telephone 360-450-5959). We wanted to see the real Czech Republic, not just Prague, so Tom and Marie hooked us up with a personal guide, a driver, hotels, and suggestions for restaurants and saved us a ton of time and money. That included finding an inexpensive apartment in Prague with a great view of the city. I recommend that anyone visiting Prague consider not staying in the center of the city where the noise of a "party town" can get a little overwhelming and the prices are starting to rise. Our apartment was only two Metro stops from the city center and the reward for that 15 minute ride was peace, quiet, low prices, and a great view of the Prague skyline.

We used Tom and Marie Zahn a few years ago and they were fabulous taking us to Prague and other cities and towns we wanted to see. We had Marie part of the time and Tom for the other part which gave an interesting perspective as Tom is an American. They also did ancestral research ahead for us so we could visit the areas where my husband's ancestors had come from. I am glad you seem to be as pleased as we. Jeanie
