Has anyone done the Panoramic Mont Blanc cable car from Chamonix to Italy? I'm wondering if it's worth it, what tips everyone might have, and if we should purchase tickets ahead of time? Thanks!

If the weather is clear, the ride is spectacular. It's not an uphill ride, but goes across
the glacier. We went over some pretty deep crevasses which you could more or less
look straight down into.
You cannot purchase tickets ahead of time. They're sold in a booth at the top of the
Aiguille du Midi. You can, of course, and should, purchase tickets for the AdM ahead
of time, or if you're staying for a few days, buy the Multipass.

That trip from Mt Blanc over to Italy is probably the best thing we’ve done in the all years of going to Europe! It’s absolutely breathtaking IF the weather is clear. Otherwise I would think it would be disappointing. You’ll know once you get up to the Aguille du Midi if you should get the ticket. GO if you can.
