Our trip to the Cotswolds

Peter Shelley is indeed the perfect tour guide to take you around the Cotswolds. We just returned from a 10 day trip to England from Boston ( July 1 to 9, 2025. )

Peter is a retired gent who has a side business as a tour guide. We opted for the half day tour, arriving from Paddington station in Morton- in-Marsh shortly before 11:00am . The train was efficient and every one is helpful ( my husband is slow and walks with a cane, so we really needed help “minding the gap”). Peter’s car is a very comfortable Range Rover, and he supplies bottled water just in case you need a drink. We connected with him from home and reserved the day of the tour…no need for a deposit at the time of booking. Peter asked what our general interest in the Cotswolds was…was it pretty gardens? History? Architecture? By answering these questions he was able to cobble together a meaningful itinerary that we would enjoy and learn the most from.

My husband and I were very impressed with Peter’s knowledge and pride of his part of England, and wanted you to know how happy we were with his tour…..he certainly deserves the space in your Rick Steves guide to the UK !!!

Thanks for the opportunity to review Peter Shelly’s Cotswolds Tours,

With best regards,
Donna and David Blackburn

I see you initially asked the Forum for suggestions about tours from London, but did take everyone's advice and took the train to Morton- in-Marsh before connecting to your tour. Well done!! Glad you had a great trip.
