Yes- you can see both the Norske Folkemuseum
and the Fram Museum in one day.

The Norske Folkemuseum or “Norwegian Museum of Cultural History” is about 4 miles from central Oslo and can be reached on Bus #30 in about 20 minutes. This outdoor museum has reassembled Norwegian buildings going back to the wood Stave Church built about 1200 in the village of Gol. Houses, farm buildings and an entire downtown from an early 20th-century town have been brilliantly preserved and displayed on the acreage that makes up this expansive outdoor museum.
We spent four hours at the Norske Folkemuseum.
Next door, the new Viking Ship Museum is under construction. It opens in 2027.
The Fram Museum takes about 1-2 hours.
Don’t miss the National Museum near the waterfront in downtown Oslo. It has an incredibly well-preserved Viking tapestry (circa 1100) with vivid colors that looks like it was woven just last week. Look for the “ Baldishol” Tapestry.
When Norwegian artist Edvard Munch was asked to select his best artwork—including a couple canvases of “ The Scream”—the selections he judged to be his best are on display here at the National Museum.
