New fee for Firenze Pass up to €85

We just left Florence and were unlucky enough not to be able to get reservations for the Accademia or Uffizi before we left. We were going to purchase the Firenze Pass and pay the €72 to be able to get in and skip the lines without the reservation. When we got to the TI at Duomo Square, they promptly informed us the cost had gone up to €85. We opted not to purchase since the cost had gone up so much. So the warning is, if you don't do your homework and get your reservations the very second they open, you will have to pay dearly to purchase the Pass or miss things you most wanted to see.

Yep, I see that the website for the card states that the cost is now 85€. My guess is that it has gone up in tandem with the big jump in entry fees this year at the Uffizi, Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens, and I can't say as I'm surprised.

Given those ticket-price increases, if planning to visit those attractions + enough others covered by the pass - especially during the months that seasonal ticket pricing is highest - then it might still be of value. n2fites, I would agree that it's best to just make reservations for the Uffizi/Accademia as soon as those become available if those are the ONLY two one is interested in seeing, and do the math if more are on the list.
