Nasty portable cribs at hotels

Has anyone been at a hotel where they provided a portable crib and it was disgusting? How do you clean these things? Or what is a better suggestion for bringing your own that doesn't cost a fortune. My daughter is 2 and is almost too big for a portable crib now.
