This is my 1000th post! I officially earn my blue badge with this post.
I didn't want my 1000th post to be a random reply to a question, so I thought I would offer this trip report about my journey on this forum.
First of all, thanks to all of you who have helped me plan my travels. I've received some excellent advice on this forum, and I'm most appreciative of it.
Second, thanks to those of you who have let me know that my responses to your questions were helpful. It's always good to get that feedback, and I am so glad I have offered useful information to both novice and experienced fellow travelers.
I've had a lot of good laughs and even more happy smiles while reading posts on this site, so thanks to all of you who have answered questions with joy and humor.
I've also done my share of eye-rolling and groaning, both at some of the questions and some of the advice offered. But what I've taken away is that we all arrive at this website with an enormous diversity of experiences and perspectives. While I disagree with some of the advice offered and wonder at some of the strange questions, or same questions asked a million times, I can learn a lot from everyone. Without that diversity, this forum wouldn't exist. So my final thank you is to everyone who participates on this forum. It's a great community!
