Chicken breast, mixed vegetables, brown rice, salad, cheese cake and white wine; simple but not with the saltiness and squishyness that I am accustomed to.
And your economy class awards?

I thought (as of yesterday at least) you didn't take much stock in airline reviews? I don't either but, for what it's worth, my favorite meals have been on Turkish Air.
That’s funny. I had the worst airplane meal ever on Austrian a few years back (2015) flying home from Vienna. What I mostly remember was there was a very pink cake.
United always serves ice cream or sorbet for dessert. I will give them the dessert award. The rest of their economy meal is nothing to write home about. In fact, on my last flight I bought a salad from EAT at Heathrow and brought that on the plane for dinner. I skipped United’s hot meal, but did take the toffee ice cream.
We’ve all had our share of airplane food so I think when you get something edible it stands out. But, if that was a meal you were served in a restaurant you’d never return. I agree with the comment on United. I always buy something prior to boarding. The last time I flew when the flight attendant delivering the trays saw my purchased meal he said “ah, I see you’ve dined with us before”.

Alan, that made me laugh out loud. It also reminded me of this:

Hi Agnes, this thread was for infotainment purposes. I still do not trust airline reviews. I should have noted I was my usual skeptical when the food service started and surprised it did not have that salty squishy quality when I tried it
I find the food even better on the flights out of VIE. Food quality in general in Austria is much higher than back home.
Welcome to Vienna! I’m here if you need anything...
What's the worst coach experience? I'm guessing WOW Air. Just typing that is funny.
We always bring a sandwich and snacks in case the in-flight meal isn't great.
