The first time I went to Paris I ended up staying just 3 days. It was enough to see all the basic, but I wish I had spent more time, so I had to go back there once again.
In my first trip to Europe, I have been to 5 cities, but Paris is definitely on my Top 3 favorites
Anyone that goes to Paris needs to make sure they have big limits on their credit card. Paris (and most other large European cities) are now really expensive. And make sure you have tickets bought online prior to going to the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre Versailles and some other popular travel sights.

Happy 4th!
David I’ve been going to Paris for decades - I don’t consider it that expensive - obviously not cheap as a geek island , but definitely cheaper than London !
We stay in hotels in central areas with Ac and usually pay between 100-120 euros a night , we eat lunches for 20 euros , and we can have a glass of wine for 4 euros - in London we pay 8 £ for a glass of wine and stay in a nice bit old
Fashioned non air conditioned hotel for 120 + £ !!
We do book our holidays months in advance however and I do lots of research .
I hope to go sometime later this year!
Being honest, I don't find Paris that expensive either. It is normal to be a bit expensive since it is a famous city and a capital, but there are other places like Rome for example, that are far more expensive than Paris.
Hi,
You don't need to pay 100 Euro for a single in a hotel in Paris. My hotel is a 2 star, a single is less than 100Euro. I never tire of returning to Paris in the summer trips, in nice weather, a heat wave, and everything in between, since the first time in July 1973.
The .first time in Paris, you never forget the experience.
