We had a great experience at hotel Splendid Montreux because it was affordable, in a great location, clean and quiet. We had a lakeside room with a balcony with nice views of the lake and surrounding mountains. All key stores and train station are a mere 5 minute walk from here. Hotel Splendid is a value hotel, the room I stayed in was a good size. This is a family run hotel and the owners could not have been move attentive; they offered good advice about restaurants, trains etc.
