We just cleared security and immigration at the Amman airport. For the first time - ever - in my travels, I was subjected to a thorough medicine check. I’d thought I’d detail it as the issue comes up regularly. I had done my research and knew that Jordan is strict but I was still surprised by this.
All medicines were in their original bottles. All bottles were removed and each prescription was checked against a list that is taped to the end of each security desk. I couldn’t see what medicines were on the list - I know CBD is illegal but hadn’t looked further than that.
