Marta Marsili is an exceptional and passionate guide, excellent teacher, and wonderful personality! She is completely fluent in English. We arranged a full day tour with her starting with the Colosseum and Roman Forum then Vatican City. The time flew by because she explained everything so vividly that it allowed us to visualize everything as it once existed. She thoroughly explained the history of what we were about to see, complete with a book illustrating things like the layers of the Colosseum as it was and detailing the paintings on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel before we entered. My daughter recently studied college level Roman History and Italian and thought she knew a lot and had visited everything in the recent past with another tour guide, however, she said she learned so much more from Marta. I highly recommend her to anyone who is truly interested in learning Roman History and Art. She also recommended several restaurants and cafes that were reasonably priced with fantastic food.
