We really enjoyed our three days in Kinsale. We stayed at the Cloisters B+B for four nights. This is a lovely spot close to pubs and restaurants with a free car park right next door. Lots of the pubs have music and we were able to enjoy several of them. We took the 11:15 town tour with Barry - highly recommend taking this, and walked out to Charles Fort one day, and James Fort an other. An other day we drove out to Kinsale Old Head to the Signal Tower Museum and Lusitania Memorial. Great views back to Kinsale and out towards Clonakilty. There are a number of sandy beaches west of there that are interesting to walk.
Ireland, I presume? Sorry, but I had to google it. I guess it's one of those names that's obvious if you already know it, or know something about the area.
Thanks for the recommendations, though.
I love Kinsale and glad you did too.
I really liked Kinsale too. Charles Fort was spectacular, basically a castle but from a more modern era. Reminded me a lot of the citadel in Quebec City. Ireland has so many great places to visit it's hard to squeeze it into a two week itinerary.
