Ack! I swear I bookmarked a great trip report from someone who went to Budapest and went to a mass the organ was played at (St Matthias?) and also went to a concert (St Stephens?) and other wonderful details as well but I can’t find it. I’m deep into planning and would love to find it again. Checked crista and texastravelmom but I’m missing it if was theirs. Many thanks if this catches the correct someone’s eye.

Thank you christy! It wasn’t the exact post but it was the link by TTM that sent me to what I needed and is now bookmarked. Appreciate ya.
Thanks, Christy. :)
Lyndash, the mass was a local, not a tourist experience which I loved - and an organ concert in a grand cathedral always makes me happy.
I won’t be going strictly as a tourist either. I’m Catholic and try to hit a mass wherever I’m traveling. That’s one of the great things about being part of a universal church, a mass is a mass no matter where you are. I usually whip out my Catholic app on my phone and read the readings in English.
I knew I had read a trip report of someone going to one church for mass and another for a concert but just couldn’t find it. I’ll be in Budapest Oct 26-Nov 1 or 2. Then I’m taking the train to Vienna for 5-7 days. Trying to get it all decided so I can get airfare purchased. I may be back with more questions if you don’t mind.
Lyndash, any time! Looks like you are contemplating enough time in Budapest to be able to feel the city. :)
I am not Catholic, but I often go to a service when things work out. And it looks like we are nearly neighbors!
I live in Arlington now but I’m always quick to say, I grew up in Ft Worth ♥️. Where the West Begins.😊
