I am going this May and am having trouble finding guidebooks that have info. Nothing written in any of Rick's books. Please let me know of any good hotels in Vaduz that are not too expensive, and are located within a short walk of all sights in old town. Thanks
It only has 38,000 residents so it would be a surprise if there were guidebooks for it.
Amazon has several Liechtenstein guidebooks for sale. I assume they contain information on hotels in Vaduz.

Google gave me about 50 titles.
If you have a car, I'd suggest you stay over by Lake Konstanz instead of in Lichenstein. Vaduz isn't especially attractive, and while you can walk around the castle you can't go inside, and parking is very limited. It's a short ride from Dornbirn on the south end of the lake.
"Not too expensive" is subjective (especially in Switzerland and Liechtenstein). If you want to be walking distance to the museums and the castle (nice views but you can't go inside), maybe Vaduzerhof would work for you, but if budget is a big concern, I'd recommend the very modern and nice Hostelling International location in Schaan, less than 10 mins by bus from Vaduz center. They have private rooms with ensuite bathroom for less than a hundred francs including breakfast, great deal for solo travelers. Or just visit as a day trip from somewhere else....
Just a heads up, there are some nice older buildings but a lot of Vaduz is fairly modern. Not sure what you are expecting, but there isn't really an "old town" with sights - it's more like a normal everyday town.
I've become a big fan of youtube to see the cities and towns I will be going to. I will be there Easter weekend and take the bus from Feldkirch to Vaduz for the day. It seems like a nicer city than Vaduz.
