We spent 4 nights walking, hiking , and taking ferry’s around the lake in mid October. We had 1 day of rain. Otherwise splendid weather. The hotel (Rick Recommendation) was just great. Front desk staff friendly and very helpful. The wait staff as well. Quiet hotel with patio overlooking lake. Also suggest the Greenway walk from Tremezzo to the Villa del Balbianello although latter pricey if you want the tour of the mansion. Only suggestion to the hotel is the wifi is not accessible in some rooms. The tiny churches and baptistries in most of the towns are a worthwhile stop - most have Wikipedia pages giving description.
