There was a galerie highlighting orchids this year.
There is no longer a pickup point at Schipol; it has been been relocated in quiet town Hoofddorp about 4 minutes on the train. That solved traffic and congestion problems.
This was my 3rd time at Keukenof. It is a little different each time but I love it. I like the tap your credit card and pay system.
Also, this was my first time using biometric electronic passport control. Everything went smooth.

We were just there Apr 17! Absolutely loved it. By mid afternoon the crowds were too much. Luckily we had arrived right after opening and had plenty of time to enjoy. This was our first time visiting but would gladly go again. We enjoyed the bus ride to get there. Gave us a good opportunity to see more of the country.

Edit to add: may I ask where you stayed for this visit ? I am thinking this must be the single most expensive time of the year to visit Amsterdam. I think maybe I would go for a private room at the Generator Hostel. It's a bit out of the way, but seems like a good more economical option. But maybe you don't even stay in Amsterdam ....

I am an Accor hotels member and always comfortably affordably stay at the Ibis Schiphol Amsterdam Airport:

Both my uncle and niece liked that hotel when I traveled with them
I even sometimes walk outside the grounds to the bus stop to go into Amsterdam. Otherwise I take the hotel shuttle to Schiphol airport train station. The tap and pay makes everything easy.
They use a hand held phone to see if you tapped in or not.
