Hi all!!
So, to provide background on my past European travels, I went all around Ireland with my family back in 2006 winter and took a month long class traveling through Greece in 2012 winter. I loved Greece, especially Athens. I considered going back to Athens this trip, but have decided to venture to new cities. I will have just turned 26 before this trip and will be my first solo trip abroad.
On January 31st I get into Berlin in the morning and fly back home from Berlin on February 11th.
I for sure will be going to Barcelona February 1st-February 3rd. Also, for sure going to Łódź, Poland at some point. I would like your input on whether I should add Rome or Budapest in between Barcelona and Łódź before going back to Berlin to explore more in-depth. I will have a 13 hour layover in Mallorca on the way home.
(Barca is just for the weekend to visit my sister)
Flight from Barca to Budapest is $44 and Budapest to Łódź $76.
Flight from Barca to Rome is $50 and Rome to Łódź (with an 18 hour layover in Vienna - another wish list city) $74.
**the thing is, I’d only have 2 days in Rome or Budapest and I know both would of course be better with more days.
I don’t travel abroad much, about every 6 years..and while I see that changing to be a little more frequent as I get older, I feel the desire to do as much as I can while there because I don’t know when I’ll be back.
I guess it boils down to two questions...
Should I focus more on Berlin and Łódź or add another city?
Is it better to do Rome for 2 days plus Vienna for 1 or Budapest for 2.5 days?
While at it, if you have recs for cool things to do or places to eat at in any of these places, I’m all ears!!
Thanks for reading and your input!
