Is there any easy way to print the comments from a Rick Steves Travel Forum diaogue? or a "Print View"? The forum comments are sometimes very helpful and I would like to print them out but I'm not sure of the easiest way to do so. Thanks for any suggestions.
Just right click and select print and it will print the entire thread. If there is just one comment you need, first highlight the one comment then right click and "print". Very easy.
The answer varies greatly on what device and operating system: Windows 10, Windows 11, Apple, Android phone, IPhone, etc... For instance, I use Windows 10 and right-clicking does not give me a print option.
So what device and operating system are you using?
Well, duh, I'm using Windows 11 and didn't try just right clicking, but sure enough right clicking does apparently give me the complete, multipage print option. I should have tried it but assumed it wouldn't work. Thanks for the suggestion.
Good info, Joann. I see that with Windows 10 (and probably 11), I can highlight some of the text, and then right-clicking gives me the print option you mention. When printing, though, I wouldn't want to carry paper, so I'd print to .pdf, and then put the .pdf in my phone.
For some Rick Steves Forum topics, I bookmark the pages, then I can open them later in a web browser while on a trip. That way, any newer postings are not missed.
if you forget the right click - or your mouse is off eating cheese or being chased by a cat - you can also go old school and CTRL -P.
That's P for Print.
You can email them to yourself, then perhaps reduce the print size, to reduce the number of pages. Good luck!
When I'm planning a trip, I start a document on Google Doc (and/or Word) and copy/paste suggestions, recommendations, comments, links, etc. that will be helpful for my trip.
As I feel ready to close it (if in Word), I save as PDF and send it to myself, and download/save on my iPhone under files. But I can also access it on Google Drive app.
If you are on a tablet, right-click isn't available. In Chrome on an Android device, touching the Share icon next to the address bar will give you options to either print, save as PDF or send to other devices. From the browser menu you can also save an offline version of the page.
Cut and paste only what you need into a word or Google docs. Print the word or Google doc.
