In Lieu of a trip report/France

I like to do trip reports after returning from a trip to help me remember the trip, especially for later in life, when I am old and senile. However, this time I didn't, but did do my usual photobook which I think is a good substitute. Not sure if it is ok to post the link, but I'm sure the webmaster will delete if it's not. All my other photobooks of my trips are in my profile.

edited for those that may not know, if you click on the photo image, it makes it bigger and you can read the text.

What a fun trip report! Love your pictures!

I agree with your comment about being more social in Paris than at home...ditto....but it's because you meet with such NICE people!

The shot of the Eiffel Tower from Montparnasse Tower, has affirmed my thought that looking AT the ET is better than looking FROM it.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Glad you made the best of it, even if you couldn't share it all with Tim. As always, your photo books are outstanding.

Thank you for sharing your lovely photobook. Loved the photos and your 'diary.' You are my inspiration for my September tour and trip in case Covid strikes me down. So glad to see you can get closer to Notre Dame now. That was not possible in Oct 2019.

Great photo book, Tammy!

Did you happen to get pics of the food or the menu at Cafe Roussillon?

Great Tammy. You've created a treasure.
And I love seeing Stan in photo, after reading Jane's references to him over the years.

What a great photo book! I like how you had comments on some of the photos and let other photos just speak for themselves. I’m motivated to use the Google photo app for my own book when I go to Italy, hopefully later this year. Thanks for sharing!

Great pictures Tammy. I see Jane, Stan and Pam.

Glad you got to be in Paris for the tour. Sorry you missed HOP & F. My favorite was mont st Michele and Normandy.

Thank you for the nice complements on my photobook.
Avi, I did not take any photos of the food or menu at Cafe Rouisllon, I was too busy socializing!

Tammy, you weren't allowed to keep the hotel room that you would have stayed in and just pay for it yourself? How helpful was RS & Co in helping you arrange alternate arrangements?

2023 tours are going on sale this month and we need to make a decision if we hold off or not. They told me I can still cancel up to 3 months prior to the trip, but by then I'll have booked flights and other hotels for an extended stay afterwards. I doubt by end of June they'll have adjusted policies for 2023.

I'm jealous of your trip! And I think I have the exact same pants you are wearing in the photo by the water wheel!

Allan, perhaps we could have stayed at the tour hotel, but that would only have been for 3 nights while the tour was in Paris. After that, we would have had to find places. Although the RS office was sympathetic to our situation, they referred us to Travel guard to help us find hotels. They were not helpful! When we called them they said “well what do you want us to do?” Then they said we would have to stay outside of Paris, also not acceptable to us. So ultimately we were on our own!
Ha Janet! Got those from Walmart right before the trip and I returned them when I got home, as I felt they did not fit me right.
