ILoveParisAppartments

We recently stayed at 72 Mazarine and have sent 2 emails to the company expressing our concerns without courtesy of response. We were intrigued with the option of spending about a week in an apartment vs single hotel room. This apartment is in a wonderful location but there are BIG buts. The minor concerns deal with lack of basic amenities such as no shampoo forcing you to go out to buy it after long travel, only 1 key with more than one guest, nowhere to place your clothing since virtually all storage is used by the company for bedding, and a few others. However, the much bigger concern deals with cleanliness. The tile floor is embedded with dirt. And more shocking -- and we only realized this on our final night when we noticed what at first looked like some slight discoloration through the pillow cases which upon removal revealed that the pillows are extensively soiled by what can only be described as various body fluids. To use pillow cases as disguise in the hope that guests will not see what lies underneath is foul and disgusting. And, with no response from the company, I have made this posting

We remain intrigued with the idea of renting apartments -- just find another company that understand cleanliness and what customer service excellence truly means.

Sorry that you had a bad apartment experience in Paris. We have rented several times from Paris Attitude and have been very pleased with their selections and services. We did have an issue in one apartment and they offered to move us and offered us a complimentary dinner for our inconvenience. So don't give up on the apartment options. Most of the apartments have only kitchen supplies and toilet paper when one arrives. So you will need to bring your own personal supplies at least for the first day. Then the next day you get to have the fun of shopping at the local pharmacy and grocery stores!! Good luck on your next trip.

We haven't rented in Paris but have in other cities, and toiletries have really never been provided unless a previous guest left them. Storage for clothing - or much of that, anyway - isn't always a given either. Rentals all have their quirks!

As far as something being dirty, broken, etc. to the extent it's a problem, we've either dealt with it ourselves or contacted the rental company to take care of it, please. The best time to get something fixed is while you're there: not much a company can do about a problem if they don't know about it until after the fact.

Thank you for your replies. Some of our context for posting this comment comes from our experience in successfully renting out a condo we own in the Vail valley for a few select weeks in the winter. We make certain our guests/customers have all that they need.

I agree that problems should be addressed as early as possible -- we just accepted that the rental was not as shown on the website --and that we would manage nevertheless. What put it over the top was the discovery pillows deeply sold with body fluids our last night. Once out of their cases any responsible decently trained cleaning staff would find it reprehensible. Then, the company refused to respond to two emails expressing our displeasure. We will likely rent apartments from other companies for future trips and hope that your experiences never fall short of the excellence you pay for and expect.

Not good at all maybe send another e-mail and mention tripadvisor I am sure they will respond then. I don't mind small rooms cramped but cleanliness is a basic no matter what the star rating is
