Enjoying this photo essay -- that Chianalea lady looks like my relative.
How do we get to the food section?
Hi Avi,
Thanks for viewing and glad to hear that you found this enjoyable. I have yet to post the food section but will do so later today. This first section that you've seen represents but a first installment of many. I'm so disappointed in the YouTube complication. For years of TRs, we have relied on it for the related accompanying music. An entire section of our London TR was built from that ability.
Oh well...
Tante belle Cose!

Your photographs are amazing!
Merci beaucoup Susan. Where to next for you? And same for Avi - where is your upcoming trip going to be?
cheers
I am done. but not really
I do love your photo reports generally but the pictures in this one are particularly good. Thanks for sharing.
Merci beaucoup Beth. Btw, below is the link for Part Two (Scilla plus Pentedatillo).
Btw, now Part Two is posted (see link below): Scilla and Pentedatillo.

That link isn't working for me -- the fodors page says there isn't a specified portfolio so it only shows a blank inside the frame
Hi gregglamarsh- I'm off on my first RS Tour in late October of this year. It will be my third time in Italy; the first two times, my husband and I stayed for 3 months and loved everything about Italy. I am off on my own for the Village of Italy tour and a few pre-tour nights in Venice. I needed an autumn getaway, and this seemed like the perfect fit for me. A couple of the places are repeats, but there are loads of new places and experiences on this trip too.
Very excited!
Happy Travels wherever life finds you next...
Avi--here is a link below to the newly-corrected part two to our above TR. It has been properly combined with the earlier bits. I am a technopeasant and the vexing tech difficulties are explained there too.

Susan, have a great return to Italy. In Venice, maybe check out 'Zucca' for a meal? Their signature pumpkin-squash souffle is worth crossing an ocean for. Have you been to Burano? Our tip for fellow travelers regarding that colorful isle is: try to take the very final vaparetto back to Venice at night after your visit. The nocturnal lagoon atmosphere is special and hard to beat.

And we just now added the Rome section, if anyone might be interested.
I am done. the full memory card
I really enjoyed looking through your travel photos. Thank you so much for posting!
I'm glad that you enjoyed our report, Christine. That trio of vendors from Rome's Trionfale market just responded after we'd sent them a link. They said that they were 'honoured' to be shown. Travelers may want to note that my wife and I did copious research before going to shop at their specific, highly-recommended-by-locals booths (known as 'boxes' in Rome).
*Where are all of you going on your next trips? I ask merely out of curiosity.
I am done. the shutterbug
We just got back from a wonderful trip to Poland. Haven't figured out our next trip yet, but it will be in Europe.
Duja dobra Christine. I'm guessing you ate well, yeah? Close friends of ours have a major advantage when they do their near-annual trips to Poland. Her aged uncle is one the top-ranking Catholic prelates there and as a result, they get rockstar treatment and 'backstage access'.

Thank you for posting this. What a lot of work it must have taken to put it together! How did you find your beautiful rental properties?
Our next trip will be to Andalusia and Madrid.
Hi Barbara,
We found the better villa Bragho on VRBO and the others on Booking.com. Currently tryna find the same to snowbird in Liguria this winter. Dunno why, but this TR suffered a few tech 'inexplicable' erasures after hours of work. My hand is just now recovering from having slammed my fist and saying many bad words in disgust after one of those odd episodes. I am a technopeasant who struggles to comprehend such events.
If you get the chance on your trip, we would highly recco the town Arcos de la Frontera. Friends also rave about Vejer.
