This was 1$ rated hotel in Rome recommended by Rick Steves; it was located near Termini, which was good, because we had arrived from CT and were leaving for US the next day; very clean, staff was excellent, BUT I would not have wanted to stay for more than one night; very, very small rooms, small showers, and not really that close to Colosseum or Vatican; IT is in the financial district, which was ok because it did get you away from the train station area.
There are better options if this is where you are staying in Rome for several days.
