Greece 3 weeks experiences

The Marble House in Athens was very clean.. A walkable distance to The Parthenon' we did walk up to 7 miles some days. Parnassos Hotel in the center of Delphi. Room standard, bathroom clean The lobby was elegant but breakfast did not impress. Highly recommend Epikouros, that is across the street, with sweeping views and delicious Greek cuisine. We could not get into any RS stays in Kastraki so we found an AirBnb with a deck that was right under a rock by the museum. The site at Olympia does not have as much to see. The Bacchus Taverna outside of Olympia was so nice /wonderful food&view.Wished we could have stayed 2 nights. Too chilly in May for us to utilize their pool.In Kardamyli we had a wonderful room view breakfasts and hosts at the Vardia Hotel. We stayed 3 nights & wanted to stay more.
Panorama Hotel Monemvasia, a standard business hotel, the staff were very nice, breakfast was large & uninteresting. One night there was enough.
Leto Nuevo was clean. They upgraded us to a room with a small deck with a nice sea view. The local parking was a bit tricky due to narrow streets.Much parking reserved for local homes.
Once again, even 3 months before our trip, all of the RS recommended hotels in Hydra were booked. So we settled for an Airbnb which ended up having a host that interjected herself into our space and time so we had to flee. My wonderful spouse scoured Hydra and the owner Hilda at the Phaedra Hotel opened up a suite for us that had been closed for painting at a discount. We had our own private patio and fantastic breakfast. The hotel was sooo clean and bed was one of the most comfortable we had. The staff, sorry I cant remember her name, was very accommodating and worked hard. The Phaedra Hotel is in the center of Hydra but tucked away so it was very quiet. Hydra restaurant staff were about the rudest we have ever encountered. At Annita’s , where we had the same waiter twice, he would want us to order as soon as we sat down. Then started to tell us what we needed to order. Was very impatient and honestly the food wasn’t the best we had. The Marina Taverna had the best fried squid and salads. But watch out for that cat that leaped on our table.
Of note anywhere we stayed we only received one room key and electricity card. This was not very convenient for a couple that are used to spending at least a few hours separately exploring.
Pops rental car experience was interesting since the pick up and drop off places weren’t really Pops. And they rushed us in and out so we couldn’t inspect the car for damage. A few days after the drop off they claimed the car was scratched and charged an extra 150 euros. The little Mazda ran fine but the passenger airbag was turned off. Neither our Iphone or Android fit into the car’s 2 USB which was uncomfortable since we needed a phone on phone directions. Especially while driving the Mani.
Condor air’s actual flights were comfortable as a budget plane can be and even in the cheap seats we were served meals. Condor caused us a lot of stress by not answering my emails and calls concerning the large amount of meds I needed to take on this journey. They mixed up our flights and lost our return reservation so we had to run up and down the Athens airport to multiple desks at 0500 to beg someone to help. On the Lufthansa leg of our journey they charged extra for coffee and juice.
For anyone interested in the Goddess culture and history I highly recommend reading the books &Substack post of Carla Ionescu PhD.

That's so good. My experience in Greece was incredible as well. I spent valuable time with my family there. Have you tried food trucks organized by Cozymeal? They were fantastic. My parents enjoyed it as they get to travel and eat without any prior planning and efforts.
