We were walking down the pedestrian mall, Lisbon, and happened to see some Roman artifacts in the Millenium Bank window. We entered the bank's office and were directed to a lobby that not only housed more Roman artifacts but was also the starting point for a FREE 30-40 tour of the Roman/Medieval ruins found under the bank when they were excavating. The tour is in English and is a group around 10-15 people. **Note: if your are claustrophobic- you may not wish to join the tour as some of the areas, under the main floor are narrow and there isn't much air flow. Here is the Lisbon tour site and has some more info on the ruins - http://biztravels.net/biztravels/museum.php?id=120&lg=en&w=archaeological_nucleus_of_rua_dos_correeiros *Also, the Millenium Bank sponsors the annual worldwide art contest to decorate 'sardines'-20" paper sardines with wild art within the sardine shape. There were dozens of 2012 winners, in the lobby and second (floor 1), of the bank. You'll see the sardine art throughout the Lisbon area.
