The Medieval Mile Museum opened in February (2017). It's small, but the guided tour given by Pat was the best we received during our 16-day trip, which included many other excellent guided tours in both the Republic and in Northern Ireland. Pat's passion for his city and its history--past and present--was infectious and delightful. The guided tour is a must if you visit. As the museum is new and there is much excavation of the site remaining to be completed, there are not yet a great deal of artifacts on display, and I suspect without the guided tour, we would have whizzed through the museum far too quickly. Pat's explanations, insights, and enthusiasm made our visit.
Yvonne at Butler Court suggested we drop by. (Kudos to Yvonne also for a pleasant stay and great recommendations.)
