Just a heads up for travellers with heavy luggage or limited mobility arriving at the Ghent train staton during their major renovation. All escalators programmed to go up to the train platform. None available down, no lift and no staff so no choice but to go down a long flight of stairs. All escalators go up only according to the luggage storage staff. When leaving later that day on track #12, only stairs available to climb to platform. Signs for lift took us outside and a long walk around the building to an inoperable lift and a long flight of metal stairs. All other tracks had working escalators going up to platform.
