Day 11 (31 July): We were going to go downtown but at this point we decided to relax at the hotel for the day to rest.
Day 12 (1 Aug): Started the day going to the Deutsches Museum (https://www.deutsches-museum.de/). Last time I was there was in 2000 so it had changes a little bit. I guess they took out the faraday cage demonstration (which was really cool to see in the past). Also, the coal mine exhibit wasn’t open (won’t be open for a year or so). It was still neat with all the hands on stuff they have in there. After that, we decided to walk around Marienplatz a little bit before it was time to eat late lunch/early dinner. We decided to eat at the Hofbräuhaus München (https://www.hofbraeuhaus.de/). If you can’t make Oktoberfest, then I guess this is about as close of an experience to it as you can get.
Day 13 (2 Aug): Visited Nymphenburg Palace (https://www.schloss-nymphenburg.de/) This was really neat palace. After this, we again had a late lunch/early dinner at Wirtshaus Rechthaler Hof (http://www.rechthaler-hof.de/) close to the Hauptbahnhof. This place has very good food.
Day 14 (3 Aug): Went back downtown to see Frauenkirche church (https://www.muenchner-dom.de/). And MarienPlatz to watch the glockenspiel. At this point we were exhausted.
Day 15 (4 Aug) flew home from MUC-ATL.
