France Transit, etc. STRIKES

For those of us headed to Paris for 12-18 Feb Best of Paris RS tour--strikes to protest pension reform are scheduled Sat 11 Feb & Thurs 16 Feb. Check your flights is flying 11 Feb. WEBSITE w/good info for strike and other important info:

As I write 26.5 hours before my flight (Newark to CDG) my flight is on as scheduled to arrive 10 Feb Friday. Going early and have a Chartres plan 10-12 Feb. ab

I don't really think there are going to be strikes on Saturday the 11th. Protest marches yes, strikes, no.

Yeah, based on what I have been reading in the French press, I really don't think strikes are in the works for Saturday the 11th. You're of course welcome to believe what you want to from the English-language press !

The one on the 11th is so that people who work during the week can march, too. It’s scheduled for their day off. They voted not to disrupt transportation on Saturday because it’s the beginning of winter school vacations for some regions and parents are taking the children to stay with grandparents or skiing. Your train to Chartres could be pretty full.
