Thank you, Gretchen.
I never thought to sign up as a frequent flyer with my airlines, and I will check to see if my airports of arrivals & departures have a smart phone app.
1) I have a FF card but didn't know it could be used with the machines.
I have the FF#, Confirmation#, Air Ticket numbers, Lodging confirmation, transfer information all printed down on an index card. I also have them listed on my Iphone Notes and as an email.
2) When I purchase air tickets, I update my information. Then I sign up for the airline alert to receive a text on my mobile phone, and as an email, too. Even if I'm already signed up I always recheck my status when I travel.
Thanks for your tips.
I apologize for the giant type. No idea how to fix it. I hope I'm not using up all the room on the internet!
It's eye-catching.
I can't speak for everywhere, but I noticed that Prague, Vienna, and Munich had stores that sold travel-size lotions, deodorants, toothpaste, etc. at the same price as home. So I no longer pack that stuff--just buy it when I get there.
My frequent flyer number is one that I have memorized. It really helps when you need to have your tickets printed at a hotel or when you're first arriving at an airport.
We had one leg of our trip back to Seattle cancelled on our latest trip.... : (
On Vienna having travel size items at pretty cheap prizes: I would say so. At Westbahnhof there is an outlet called Müller's, which sells exactly what you want is travel sizes, also lots of US products in the same way. At Munich Hbf you'll find also a Müller's.
I will have to try some of these. I've never been into a gelato store and said, "Mustard?". I wonder what would happen.... ;-)
