Eight women traveling together hired a private guide in Siena. Costanza Riccardi proved to be invaluable in the morning she spent with us. Very knowlegeable about her city, she showed us things we would not have found on our own and explained the history of the districts of the city and the famous race held twice a year. As you can imagine, with a group of eight, someone was always dashing off to buy "just this one thing," or go to the bathroom. She cheerfully went over our allotted time.
