To get the most out of your visit to Pompeii, I recommend booking Pina Esposito (she is mentioned in Rick Steves' Naples book). We booked her for an in-depth Pompeii with Villa Oplontis tour, and another day exploring the fascinating Phlegraean Fields. She also covers Herculaneum, Naples city and the wonderful National Archaeological Museum etc. As well as having a tour guide license for Campania Region since 1996, she has PhD in Greco-Roman Archaeology/Art History.
