Our 2 days in Evora have been great! Followed RS advice and dined at Taberna Tipica Quarta-Feira. They delivered big time!! with super friendly service and fantastic food.
Neither bus tour mentioned in guide was available to the nearby Neolithic sites (one doesn’t do these tours anymore? another just taking a weekend off?) . We persisted, sent multiple what’s app messages to potential drivers, bit the bullet and paid 60 euro for two to get to the Cromeleque dos Almendres. WORTH it -(despite the ugly fence!) wild flowers blooming, panoramic view., cool weather. The walk to the associated menhir also worth it. Outdoor interpretive signs at the interpretive center in Guadalupe were Very good, helped me understand both the history and ecology of the area. On to Lisbon tomorrow! Flix bus reservation made! They got us here from Oriente station seamlessly.
