Do Not Book with Pick A Flat in Paris

I booked an apartment through Pick A Flat for my trip to Paris in February, relying on the location marker on their website, as well as a listing on Expedia, which all indicated that the apartment was a 13-minute walk from the Louvre. However, after completing my reservation and receiving the actual address, I discovered that the apartment was over an hour and 15 minutes away by foot—located in an entirely different part of the city.

I immediately reached out to Pick A Flat to resolve the issue. Since they offer multiple apartments throughout Paris, I requested to be moved to a location closer to what was originally advertised, even offering to pay the price difference despite the error being on their end. Initially, they responded by simply resending the incorrect address, but after a few emails, they stopped replying altogether. In one of their responses, they acknowledged the mistake and stated they would update the advertisements to reflect the correct location. While I’m glad that no one else will be misled, that does nothing to help me—I booked the apartment under the assumption that the original location marker was accurate.

I followed up repeatedly over the next several weeks, as my trip is fast approaching. Today, after sending yet another email, I received a delivery failure notice—Pick A Flat had blocked my email. I had made multiple attempts to resolve the issue in good faith, only requesting a refund in my fourth email. I even sent messages in both French and English to make communication easier for them.

Pick A Flat’s customer service is absolutely abysmal. The error was entirely on their part, yet they refused to engage or offer any resolution. I strongly advise against booking with them.

Ugh. I think I would be angry. But I would also be concerned about having an apartment at all upon arrival, if they are blocking you.

You have done your best. Document resolution efforts, file a dispute with credit card, and make a new reservation elsewhere.

The Carol‘s are in agreement. File a dispute with your credit card and book another place. At this point you’re not going to have any place to stay. They’ve decided to just ignore you and I wouldn’t plan on being able to get in. There are a couple of agencies that are recommended on here and once you get outside of those, I feel like it’s the wild wild West. And yes, I include Airbnb in the wild wild West.

Maybe the apartment doesn't even exist.

Did it have its registration number in order?

I agree with The Carols, and with TTM

Thank you all for your advice :) I have already filed a dispute with my credit card and have found another place to stay. I just wanted to warn others about my experience!
