Demographics aboard Norwegian Spirit

We have a very diverse group aboard my ship

There are maybe 2000 passengers. I have heard 600 plus are Americans. There are many Canadians and many Australians. Some are from New Zealand. Lot of British, a few from Scotland I have heard German being spoken

Many Asians but I do not know from what countries.

All ages from infants to old people. Some children, not a lotbb

Lots of mobility impaired. I have company. Cruising is probably a good way for those with mobility issues to still be able to travel some

Met a lady who is a glass collector. She is bringing home a couple of pieces of large glass and has to pack it and get it home herself. Because of tariffs, the sellers will not ship.

Today was a sea day and I think everyone felt it was needed. We are all tired.

Sailing towards Hiroshima. My meeting time is 7 30 am. It is going to be a long day

The last few days will be busy with excursions so I have begun packing.

I am wondering if I will have problems flying home due to the government shutdown. I will be flying non stop from S Korea to Dallas and from Dallas to Austin. Yesterday Austin had a ground stop due to staff shortages.

Enjoy Hiroshima. If you have time, take a ferry over to Miajima.

As far as delays go, there is no way of telling what you will be facing because of the government shutdown. Sorry. But you will eventually get home.

Sounds as if you had a diverse group of people on your cruise. My wife and I took a repositioning cruise from Miami to U.K. not knowing it was a singles cruise. And a big percentage were LGBTQ. It was quite an eye opening 12 days. We just take traveling in stride rolling with the flow.

We flew into Dallas this weekend. It was a domestic flight so don’t have any info about customs etc but everything else was operating completely normally.

Hi David

Was it a nude cruise as well. I think that I have seen nude cruises advertised.

Leaving on the 19th to fly home. Hopefully there will not be too many delays. I am tired. I think a 14 day cruise is too long. I want more than 7 but less than 14

Hi ncangelose

Thank you for the update of course, one day things can go well and the next day not so well. Dallas often presents problems

Ha. It is all personal preference. We will not consider anything under 14 days and prefer those closer to 28 days. BUT -- we have been on more than 200 nights of cruises, mostly with the same cruise line, so have the routine well established. However a seven day Disney cruise with two granddaughters just about did us in. At the cruise port we checked into a hotel for three night before heading home. The airlines are uncertain these days. This past weekend a early evening flight from SF to Den was delayed three hours. Five days later the mid-afternoon return flight was on time. It is a dice roll these days with our government.

Hi Frank

For myself, I am finding a 14 day cruise a bit too long but 7 day cruises are not long enough. I think that I prefer a 9 or 10 day cruise with a few night pre-cruise

What I am finding especially interesting is the number of people who were born in one country but now live in a completely different country.

I met a couple who were born in Kenya but now live in London. From their coloring and features, they look to be Indian

Another large group were from Mexico but all lived in different cities around the United States.

This seems to be a common theme. Born in one country but living in a completely different country.

Thanks for posting.

I find it very interesting to know the demographics of the guests aboard a large cruise, specifically in regards to nationality and languages.
