Please keep in mind that the churches, chapels (including the Sistine), the Pantheon, and St. Peter's are active churches. Respect the traditions of silence and reverence as you would your own place of worship. Use Rick's podcasts to listen in silence. It was very distracting to hear the authorities repeatedly call for silence.

yes! this is one of my pet peeves. I once saw a group of loud, selfie flashing tourists interrupt a woman obviously in mourning, praying at a side altar, oblivious to her weeping and her begging for quiet. Ugly.
