Traveling in late Nov/early Dec to Paris/Versailles, Strasbourg, Nuremberg, Vienna, Salzburg and Munich specifically to enjoy Christmas Markets. Entire trip is around 20 +/- days.
I will travel mostly by train between cities and planning on staying in center hotels. I have points with Hyatt and Hilton and will try to stick to those hotels for now.
I have read lots of stuff on line about these cities (I have been to most of them already but not in winter) but would love to hear from all of you what you think is very special about these places.
Is there something I should not miss?
Anything "out of the way" you recommend?
Any other cities along this route that you think I should not miss? I am willing to make a stop in between.
Any special hotels you would recommend close to the markets?
I keep strict Gluten Free diet (medical necessity) and would appreciate any suggestions especially in Germany and Austria (have had some difficulties with GF meals before).
Thank you in advance.
