Can some bright soul who was on the Best of South of England tour May 2 help me recall the name of a village? we had seen Stonehenge, then stopped in a lovely village for a great pub lunch, the village was on a gentle slope, all the houses and pub were thatched then we drove through two more villages and ended the day in Chagford, I just can’t remember the name of that village we had our lunch in, thanks for help
Could it have been Widecombe-in-the-Moor? We did this tour years ago, but that's where we ate on one of our Chagfords days. It wasn't our Stonehenge day, though.
Sounds like Milton Abbas.
We had lunch there on the Stonehenge day of the tour.
