Bordeaux- Dordogne- Avignon, France in November?

Hello! My fiance and I are headed to France in November to look at wedding venues. We plan on renting a car in Bordeaux and driving up through Dordogne, then heading down to Avignon to look around Provence. What are some places we should see along the way, and is there anything worth doing/seeing that time of year when it's cold...?? Also, is there any places to see, top restaurants to try along the way from Dordogne- around La Roque Gageac to Avignon? THANK YOU!

You have posted in the Trip Reports section of the forum, where not all the France experts will spot your inquiry. I suggest reposting in the France section.

One thing to be cognizant of with a November trip is that a lot of places like museums shorten their hours of operation and expand their days closed outside of peak season. There's even a difference (in many places) between June or September vs. July/August.

I'm a warm-weather traveler so cannot provide any information about other constraints you may face.
