booked on Azamara 12 night best of mediterrian starting April 21 froma BArcelona

Hi, this is our first Azamara cruise and looking for any advice. We’ve done Viking and Windstar before this.

For instance, I see references to a “white night”? There is nothing on our information about that. I’ve also found their website to be very difficult to navigate

Excursions all booked, some through Rick’s recommendations.

Hi! I’ve been on two Azamara cruises. You will love it. Small ship size, attentive staff, interesting port stops, and no need to pay for extras as they are included.

White night is held on the pool deck and feature a huge barbecue. The area is completely transformed into an al fresco restaurant. People wear white or something close to white if they have it. Live music, dancing, and usually a special performance by a local group. In Turkey it was a group of singers. In South Africa it was Zulu dancers and drummers.

For the wardrobe-challenged on our cruises, we have seen plenty of people wearing the bathrobes from their staterooms. Mission accomplished, yes, but this practice lacks the charm they are going for. Food, btw, was wonderful. Steaks, lobster, shrimp and more grilled choices with lots of delicious sides. Don't eat lunch that day!
