Best way to travel between Scotland, London, Shannon Ireland

We are wanting to spend most of our time in Edinburgh with a few days in London and 2-3 days in Shannon. We are thinking of driving to Toronto to fly to either London or Shannon. What is the easiest way to travel between these destinations? Should be book individual flights between Shannon and London or multi-leg flights? I assume the train between London and Edinburgh would be cheaper than flying? Are airbnbs our best best for a longer stay in Edinburgh? Need some advice please. Traveling in July.

You won't get many responses here because you have posted under ‘Trip Reports’ - where people write about the trip they have done. You would probably get more responses if posted under ‘Transportation’ or England or Scotland or Ireland.

Consider looking at flight prices/destinations with Air Transit - who may well fly direct to Edinburgh. For train travel between Edinburgh & London - check out www.lner.co.uk (cheapest prices for advance booking specific trains around 11 weeks ahead).
For cheap good value accommodation:> www.travelodge.co.uk

It looks to me like you are trying to cover too much ground in too short a time. For example, you would pass through York on the train when going from London to Edinburgh. York deserves at least a 1 night stop over. I also think that Ireland is best done as a separate vacation.

Which order do you want to go? Shannon --> Edinburgh --> London, or some other order?

I would fly "open jaw", into Shannon and out of London (assuming above order).
You can fly Shannon --> Edinburgh. The best way Edinburgh --> London is train, most comfortable and fastest (city centre to city centre).
Look up times and buy advance tickets (cheaper) at the rail company website here: https://www.lner.co.uk/

You don't say how long you plan in Edinburgh and London, make sure you have enough time.
I would also stop 1-2 nights in York, It is between Edinburgh and London on the rail line, so easy.
