We had a great time on our best of Switzerland tour. We noticed our trip did not include Zermatt/Matterhorn…so we went four days early to Zermatt and had an outstanding time; we were also able to do part of the Glacier Express from Zermatt to Chur. Then Chur to Lucerne where we met our tour group. NO car only trains and not disappointed. Our tour guide, Holger Zimmer was excellent! I had an health emergency in Lugano at night; I called Holger to let him know I was going to an ER; he insisted that he go with me. He sat with me from midnight to 4am! Luckily, I was ok and we returned to the hotel. Above and beyond….Thank you Holger and experience and a person I will never forget!

I was on this tour in June 2025 and had a wonderful time. Our guide, Tony, was superb and our group bonded very quickly. I think Tony was the reason we bonded so well.
Such fun memories.
I'm not surprised Holger went with you to the ER, that is how caring the RS guides are!

For those of you who took this tour, did you feel comfortable about taking a flight from Zurich the day after the tour ended by just taking the train in the morning to Zurich? rather than going to zurich and staying the night there and flying the next day?

We took the train to the Zurich airport and spent the night in the Hilton airport Hotel and flew home the next morning. Everyone told us we could have taken the train the day the tour ended in time for a flight the same day. We are cautious travelers and chose to spend the night.
